Surf Town Hostel

Location in the city. Rooftop chillier area was nice.

The beds were not very comfortable. The rooms were tiny and it felt that in the six bed dorm it was squeezed. The beds do NOT have an own light- neither do all of them have curtains. The ones with curtains are a joke. Seethrough- some curtains were too short and you can also look over them. The price value was not given. Staff was polite however not engaged at all. The breakfast was so basic and did not taste good. I would recommend staying in Popoyo for surfing since in San Juan, you have to take a shuttle to the beaches - which is not free.

There was a great atmosphere - cool hang out spots and very easy to meet people. They had events on every night which was great and games and things to do in common areas . Staff were also lovely - had a good chat to the girl at the front desk and she was so friendly and the bar staff were chatty and approachable too. Made for a nice vibe

The bunk beds were so unstable . The beds were noisy and moved so much . I felt so sorry for whoever was under me as whenever I moved on the top , the bed would sway and make a lot of noise . There was also a few leaks in the room at the time which made some of my stuff wet , but to be fair the rain was pretty torrential

Really enjoyed it here. Would just be great if the big dorm had AC

The Hostal was absolutely lovely Great reception team,the housekeeping ladies works so hard in maintaining the place The dj was fab and the breakfast was the best breakfast I had in a Hostal -seriously good The whole vibe was super welcoming and they really try to involve everyone

I thought I booked a room with AC That was my mistake ,even with a fan the heat is soo too much in this country so you need ac otherwise you won’t be sleeping well

Was Nice has a Great pool and good environment
