Explorers Cottage, Yorkshire Wolds Character Home

The cottage is situated in the centre of town opposite a Tesco Superstore. There is free parking immediately outside the property - you are asked not to park benhind the property as it is not owned by them. Collecting the key was straightforward with the instructions that were sent on booking. The house itself is faultless, spotlessly clean and beautifullt presented. Free WiFi is available. There is a double bedroom on the first floor and another double bed on the open plan second floor. Dog treats and blankets were provided, so it is a great option if you have dogs. There is no charge for accommodating them! We slept really well: the beds are very comfortable and the bedding is very good quality. There is a small enclosed yard at the rear, which again is great if you have a dog. There are lots of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk if you choose not to use the well-equipped kitchen.

Nothing to do with the property, but EV charging in the town is not easy. Only slow 7kW chargers are available and in Tescos for example you are limited to 2 hours! Luckily I had enough charge to get me to a motorway charger the next day, but it is something to be aware of. As for the accommodation, the stairs are a bit steep if that is an issue for you [especially to the second floor], otherwise it is perfect!!

Excellent refurbishment, shows very good taste, all your need for cooking (including nearby Tesco), above all a few of those small quantity items you don't want to carry when hiking.

Immaculate property, very welcoming, lovely location

Lovely little cottage . Very well equipped. Central for pubs and restaurants but quiet. The host was very thoughtful . Some milk in fridge and snacks and some doggy treats. Makes all the difference to feeling looked after and valued as a customer. Thoroughly recommend for local sights and food. Parking can be had just outside but if full just on side road close by.
