Modern Hatfield Apartment with Free Gated Parking

The property is in a good location and easily accessible to a lot of things

First arrival as we walked through the door, there was a beeping from the smoke alarm and when flagged to property owner, they asked us to go out and buy a battery and change it. the main bedroom and ensuite had a very musky smell damp smell living room sofa had large stains on it overall the property was fairly dirty Would not recommend staying to anyone.

The location was convenient for food shopping or to grab a bite to eat or drink. The house looked very nicely decorated except for the state of the kitchen and until the nightmare happened during our short stay as we had to evacuate early due to an outburst of tiny pests.

The host was not very quick in replying my messages. He only sends out automated messages and then that's it. On the booking page, it was stated that there are two parking spaces but we were only allowed one parking space. I tried to WhatsApp the host and sometimes I get a reply and sometimes I get ignored. Upon arrival, it all seemed okay but we saw a broken curtain rail in the double bedroom and it was missing a light bulb in one of the lamps. We couldn't use the kitchen as it was disgusting with ANTS!! TINY RED ANTS!! The microwave was in a disgusting state and the cooker hood was missing a filter on the left side. One of the kitchen light bulbs has gone. The apartment had a damp wood kind of smell and it was horrible. The ensuite and the main bathroom had ants and the bedroom with two single beds had ants and in the beds too!! My kids were mortified and disgusted and we had to move out on Thursday as it was far too late to do so on a Wednesday evening and they ended up sleeping on the sofa that night. When trying to let the host know all of this the very next day, he was not interested in taking any responsibility, he didn't offer to come and have this cleaned or sorted for us. He later asked what I would like him to do and I then gave him my request but he dismissed it and just tried to say that I didn't report on the first night and so it is my fault. The house was clean on our arrival and the ants were there so it's not their fault. This host was not very helpful for our whole stay only quick thing he replied to was the parking situation when someone had parked in my allocated space. I bought ant baits to try to help with the ants but they weren't shifting. It was a horrible stay for us the ants were all over the house and it was such a nightmare!
