Floyter House North Yorkshire Moors National Park

Helpful and friendly, great location to the pub and the bakery was amazing.

We had a lovely stay, the host was welcoming and made us feel right at home. As a bonus, we got to meet their adorable Dalmatian, who was a total sweetheart. The bed was super comfy and we slept like logs both nights. Just a short walk away is a great little bakery, perfect for a relaxed breakfast. One of the highlights was a beautiful countryside walk starting just down the road that leads to a great little restaurant / inn about 40 minutes away – well worth the stroll. Altogether, a peaceful, cosy stay.

We stayed here this weekend because we were attending a wedding at Danby Castle. The location is just beautiful and idyllic. We stayed in the master room which was on the top floor and like an apartment with a bedroom, TV room & bathroom and tea & coffee facilities and was very clean and tidy. Charlotte, the owner, was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The train station is round the corner so we got the train into Whitby for the day on Saturday. All in all this is a lovely Guest House and we would highly recommend it for a quiet break away.

We stayed at Floyter House for 2 nights in late April to attend a wedding at Danby Castle. We booked the master suite on the top floor of the house. We thought that this was excellent value considering it was like a mini Airbnb with a separate bedroom, bathroom and TV room. The tea and coffee facilities were really good. Charlotte was very accommodating and friendly, she even very kindly dropped us off at the wedding venue on the morning of the big day, which saved us driving and leaving the car overnight. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

There was nothing to dislike. Everything was excellent.

Had the most relaxing break at Floyter House , we were in the Dulux Suite , which was gorgeous, immaculate, fantastic decoration with everything we needed , plus huge bathroom and small lounge with TV, Thank you so much Charlotte for our Easter treats and prosecco for our anniversary and of course Edison , we will definitely be back in the summer. Just a note there is a bakery up the road which is superb for breakfast , Also ideal location for visiting whitby, sand send , Staithes, Robinhoods Bay and many more places , we loved coming back after busy days out sight seeing to the peace & quite at Floyter House where you can hear the river running and the owl at night - bliss !
