Quiet hidden gem in historic Stellenbosch

Spacious and centrally situated with lovely decor.

Building noise next door which is a temporary situation.

Very very supportive Host who communicates well and helps where she can. Place in center of Stellenbosch, botanical garden easy to reach by foot. Nice inventory and finishes, very comfy beds and very welcome design. Wifi and other informations well provided.

Fabulous location! So close to everything, and the apartment is very neatly designed and looks great.

It was extremely hot and as the apartment has no air conditioning or overhead fans my husband and son had to sleep on the concrete floor as it was the coolest part of the apartment.

No power during load shedding

The flat was so light and airy, and the views were picture book stuff - treetops, mountains and a church. Much thought had been put into anticipating guests' needs. The beds were incredibly comfy and the space was pretty well organised. The location was fantastic - not too close to the shops but not too far...kind of tucked away.

Although the shower had fantastic pressure, it flooded the bathroom floor which meant a lot of mopping up and dealing with wet bathmats. I wasn't going to mention this because it's temporary and the hosts have NO control over it but there is extremely noisy construction going on next door. Hopefully it will be over soon. But I think the hosts should have given us fair warning as a courtesy. Not all travellers go out exploring every day... they may be in town for medical treatment or on business and have purposely sought out a quiet place (as advertised). But it says a LOT for the place, that despite the noise we LOVED it. Seriously, I could live there.

Good location. We wanted to be beat the university, cafes and the like and everything was within walking distance, even the mall. Nice touch by the host to leave some sweets and fruit. 3 beds in total, 2 bedrooms makes for great value for money if moving as 2+ people. The beds themselves were comfortable, wifi works, in a complex so felt very safe.

Load shedding. At least our host warned us beforehand that this would be a factor and that electricity only goes for about 2 hours, it is still a bother.

Clean, beautiful and spacious with natural light. Excellent location.

Was a bit difficult during load shedding. 1 very weak LED light. 2 candles but no lighter. Bought our own candles at the garage but there were no candle holders.
