Sutera Sanctuary Lodges At Manukan Island

Friendly attentive staff. Hillside villas area is really tranquill and has excellent views. Food in restaurant was delicious (you have to go to a same one for every meal, so it's a relief it was a good one). Private beach is pretty and calm and there is a living coral reef further away + plenty of fishies feeding/hiding under the pier. There is a water filter in a room so you don't have to buy tons of plastic bottles. People coming for day trips weren't bothering at all, they were relatively quiet and mostly stayed in a small area near the pier taking photos or soaking in shallow water. Boat engines spooked some of the marine life though, best snorkelling was before/after boats come and go.

Beer is weirdly expensive even compared to the overall higher prices due to being on an island. Resort itself is nice, but I wish they would also take some responsibility for the locations on the island that don't belong to the resort directly. There is trash just steps away from the resort grounds, some closed down buildings from a former youth camp or something similar that used to be on an island before the resort, ridge trail that used to go through the island seems to be abandoned or closed, sunset point trail is open but is also somewhat neglected towards the end.

Unspoiled, serene and relaxing location with private beach and abundant nature both on land and underwater. Very spacious and nicely furnished accommodation. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff.

Tourist hoards on the public beach between 10:00 and 15:00 hrs, but the island’s popularity is easy to understand. But having the place to yourself at other times is bliss. Rooms / villas lack WiFi, resulting in too much screen time at the dinner table.

The whole experience felt like a tropical escape. The beach was absolutely stunning, crystal clear water, soft sand, and calm waves perfect for swimming. The staff were warm, helpful, and always smiling, making the stay even more relaxing. The breakfast had a good mix of local and international options, and dining by the sea was just beautiful. The view from the room was breathtaking, especially during sunset.

The Wi-Fi connection was pretty weak inside the room or none but this was informed that there won't be any wifi so no issues.

Очень дрессированный персонал сразу от причала в городе) Хорошие стильные номера со всем необходимым. Просто убийственные по размеру завтраки )

Это не к отелю, а в целом к острову и экологии… толпы туристов в течении дня, куча пластика и стекла на пляже, какой -то желейный планктон в воде, и, главное, именно там оказались песчаные мухи, которые покусали нещадно и в интернете лучше не читать о последствиях🤪
