The location was excellent with easy access into the main city and the apartment was clean and the decor was nice, I especially liked the electronic beds.

The washing machine was listed on the booking as being able for us to use and so we travelled lightly with using the washing machine as an expectation, however it was broken and made a whistle noise. The woman told us that her child will be running around upstairs making a lot of noise to which he did and we had no problem with hearing that, however the whistle noise on the washing machine that is listed able for us to use was an issue for them. Because of this the host came to the apartment 2 times, the first time we did say we would not use it but then we urgently needed to use it again because our clothes were smelling like fire and we were going to go on the plane. The did not offer us any resolution or compensation even though the washing machine is listed as a facility at this accommodation, in fact the host said “it is not his problem”. The host was very rude to my husband and if the WiFi was not working I would hope that they would offer their own WiFi instead of saying it’s not their problem, they did not do this or any resolution with the washing machine. The host spoiled our trip, in the future he should treat his customers more kindly.

Comfortable and cosy apartment with very modern facilities. The location is stunning in a beautiful area just across the bridge from the city. Great welcome from our host too.

As soon as we walked in, we were not disappointed with the cleanliness and decor of the apartment. It is so stylish! All new and modern with helpful tech like heated floors, dimmable lights, and articulated beds in the main bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals, and there was a EuroSpar just a 10 min walk away. There were four of us in total, and so the kids slept on the sofa bed. It was plenty big enough for the both of them, and our hosts had made it in prep of us arriving, including a mattress topper, and so was just as comfy. The beds in the main room also had a mattress topper and were super comfy. There were even extra pillows available in the wardrobe if required. There were also lots of other helpful extras like toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, and shower wash, which was such a lovely touch. The location is across the bridge from the main city of Tromso, but we think this is perfect. We were a stones throw away from the Arctic Cathedral and a 15 min walk to the cable car. We did both of these landmarks and would highly recommend it. There is a bus stop opposite the apartment, and it was easy to get buses two and from to the main city centre. George, the host, met us when we arrived, and he was great, showing us how to work everything. Even later, in our stay, if we had a question, he always replied to our messages or came to help. The only extra that would be helpful would be some signage, we arrived in the dark, and there were a few doors on the building numbered 24a, we were unsure on which doorbell to press. Maybe a sign for guests would be helpful. He spoke great English and was lovely to our young children, having a young son of his own. He let us borrow sledges so that our kids could have fun in the snow. Norway is an incredibly expensive place but we think this apartment is incredible value for money.
