"Amazing stay and amazing home."

10.0

The property was amazing, very similar to the house I want of my own in the near future, loved everything about it. Especially the living bit upstairs very comfortable and relaxing. Also loved the Alexa with the speakers in the roof. Cooking in there was amazing.

Few spiders in the cinema room behind the chairs (which is expected with all the wide life around),but honestly didn’t bother us we still sat in there for a couple hours nice and cosy with the little fire on.

"Peaceful stay in a great location, but the property needs some upkeep."

8.0

We had a great 7-night stay at this peaceful property in Kirksanton. The location is perfect – quiet and relaxing, with beautiful views of open countryside and the coast, and just a short drive to the beach at Silecroft. It’s also within easy reach of the southern Lake District, and the small-village atmosphere made it feel authentically local rather than touristy. The property was reasonably comfortable and had most of what we needed for the week, though there were a few bits and pieces not quite right. We really appreciated the tranquillity after a day of exploring, and it was the ideal base for both coastal walks and trips into the Lakes. Would happily stay here again.

Some aspects of the property could use attention. Cleaning on arrival wasn’t as thorough as we’d hoped, with stained carpets upstairs (particularly in the lounge) making it look a little tired. The roller blind at the front door doesn’t work, and the garden bench has damaged wood that needs replacing. There were also loose cables hanging from a device in the kitchen ceiling, and broken/missing shelving in the fridge and freezer. Practical facilities could be improved – there’s no dryer, clothes horse, or washing line, so drying clothes and towels was tricky. The cinema room had no controllers for the retro gaming setup, and a broken plant pot was left outside. An armchair in the kitchen area near the fire would also make a great addition.

"Really nice property with lots of things locally to do. Worth a visit."

Location was great. House furnished to a really high standard.

Internet was intermittent which made it difficult to work at times throughout the week.

"Relaxing & Well equipped"

9.0

Greeted by manager. Managers very good communication. Styling, facilities, amenities, welcome basket. All superb. Dog friendly. Game room/bar with projector and retro game console with 20,000+ games on all the classic consoles. Very comfy beds & sofa. 3 big TVs (1 huge). Garden and trampoline for kids. Secure AstroTurf area for dog...and boot room for him to sleep, eat and cleaned/dried. Short (1mi) walk to nearest beach for dog. Pub nearby.

As only 2nd guests, really minor teething trouble with hot water (sorted straight away) and WiFi strength/stability will improve...but generally fine. Would've benefited from a 2nd W.C. if there's 5/6 of you but it was ok.
