Alexandra House Apartments by City Centre

The heating system in Room 9 was extremely poor, leaving the room freezing for the first two nights. My oven wasn’t working, so I couldn’t cook, and the hot water was consistently cold. Additionally, the toilet fan was so noisy that it shook the entire apartment when turned on, making it unusable. There were also no towels provided for the bathroom.

We were robbed off our security deposit.The host was adamant that they released the deposit but we sent them our bank statement as a evidence for not receiving the security deposit. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone solely for this reason.

The advert doesn’t state that this property is student accommodation. It was noisy, dirty and cold. There were no instructions how to turn the heating on. The extractor fan in the bathroom was also stuck on. It was so loud, constant hum and made the room vibrate. Couldn’t sleep at all. Reported the issue with the heating and fan on arrival. Was promised a maintenance person would visit to resolve but no one came. Parking was also expensive £21 for 24 hours. If I hadn’t prepaid in full before arrival, would never have stayed. Also windows aren’t double glazed so lots of noise/arguments from the street. Didn’t sleep at all despite going out to buy earplugs from a local chemist! Terrible experience, avoid!

Cute self contained unit, about 15 mins walk from centre of Sheffield .

Shower was very small - hard to manoeuvre. Instructions for the microwave/cooker would be good. The ground floor spot is noisy as the windows are not double glazed so could hear people walking past and the street light shine into the bedroom
