I liked the location. The views were refreshing and the units were beautiful. We all managed to sleep well.

When we got to the area there was a hail storm so we didn't have electricity for a few hours. The jacuzzi didn't work and one house wasn't cleaned. The lights were also faulty.

A holiday nightmare! This place is run down and service is non existent. Very poor hygiene, dirty bathrooms and drains that don’t work in kitchen (unit 1) and some bathrooms (unit by the pool). Very poor response from host. We reached out to the host multiple times to report these problems and requested assistance from maintenance, but our concerns were largely ignored. Unit by the pool was without lights, fans not working and no hot water all weekend. The upstairs bathroom has a persistent stench. This not only made the accommodation uncomfortable but also compromised the safety and usability of the space. Towels were filthy, the cleaning staff did the bare minimum (didn’t even empty bins), emptied pots into the open area. The other chalet had a big lizard in the bathroom, we asked for assistance and no one came. This lodge is beyond disappointing, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The chalets are in the Malalingwe Game Reserve, which is not really a "Private Game Lodge" The 1 chalet is spacious and fully equipped and the rest of the chalets are rather small bedrooms with a shower. The surroundings are beautiful. It's a nice place for big family and friends reunions who wish to spend several days together and do self-catering

Overall, the chalets need to be renovated and modernized. The worst part is that in the Booking.com description, it is not mentioned that the chalets are in a nature reserve, that you need to get there early to get a QR code from the owner to enter the reserve, and that the instructions/address as to how to get there are incomplete/incorrect. Also. the restaurant which is not close to the chalets closes early therefore if you are not self-catering and arrive late there is nothing to eat. The Booking.com description needs to be updated to reflect the problems one faces if you arrive after 6 pm and it's dark. Following GPS indications with incorrect address information leads you to the wrong place. Not suitable for a one-night stay.
