The Brown Hen Guest Accommodation

It was a big surprise that we were actually sleeping in a lodge inside a farm, with many cows as our neighbors! Gwyneth was very caring and always tried her best to help. The room was big, clean and well-equipped. The hidden pantry, disguised as a wardrobe, was another surprise to us. Preparing breakfast on our own with all the provisions was fun.

To us, the location was quite remote. We were unfortunate to arrive on a Tuesday when almost all restaurants in Bandon were not open. We were not able to find a restaurant for dinner even with the enthusiastic help of Gwyneth. It was also a pity that the weather was not good and we could not enjoy the farm more.

Gwinnett was a fantastic hostess. She is a wonderful person and one of the truly great person. We will miss her conversation tremendously. Couldn’t have asked better person. We will miss her very much.

The room is great! Fully equipped, very clean and tidy, and completely self-contained. The host is lovely and friendly, she made us feel completely at ease and is always on hand to help with anything we need.

Exceeded beyond expectations! I stayed a number of nights for my work purposes. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, entrance is separate and independent which you feel you have ultimate privacy. My room(s) were/was well equipped with whatever I needed or felt or I expected to have from a 5-star Hotel. I loved the tranquility of the place, the farm with the cows, and the hens of course. It was not too close to my work place but I loved it, so I didn't want to get a closer accommodation to my workplace. The property is separate accommodation on a farm , it was so peaceful , tranquil and quiet.

Fabulous host fabulous facilities fabulous location couldn't fault a thing..

I loved the self contained aspect, the silence of the countryside. It was like a junior hotel suite. Gwyneth was a great host.

All your breakfast a little cold ham at breakfast would be nice. You cater for yourself and the breakfast essentials are all there. Maybe if I had asked for it I would have been given it as the host was very obliging & asked what I wanted.

Stunning location in the countryside with rolling hills. Everything was neat as a pin, and Gwyneth was super friendly and attentive. highly recommend!
