Location and pool!

The stairs were a bit tricky. Which made it a bit difficult to get luggage up and down.

Stairs to the apartment with a lot of luggage 😩 Just too much messaging prior to our trip from owner. We were travelling in numerous locations and were receiving constant messages requesting passport details etc. Did not receive this from any other of our Italian accommodations

I cannot rate this apartment highly enough. It exceeded our expectations in all ways. The apartment was very well designed and appointed. The location was perfect, just three steps off the Via Roma and a couple of blocks from an exquisite view of the Mediterranean. Barbara, the host was wonderful. She was always within reach and responded quickly and efficiently to our concerns or questions. The town itself is beautiful and definitely a place that we will recommend to our friends and highly likely return ourselves. If we do, we will book the Il Gelso Bianco Apartment. i highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location right on main strip with all the restaurants

Our host, Barbara, is unlike any other. She went above and beyond and was our personal concierge throughout our stay which we didn't expect; restaurant suggestions and bookings, beach reservations, transportation and luggage service etc. The property is in a prime central location in Polignano a Mare. We stayed at the two level apartment (she also offers a ground floor separate apartment which I didn’t see). Our apartment had a roof-top pool, beautiful outdoor living space with plenty of seating, dining table and umbrella with ocean view. Albeit the pool is quite small it was perfect to cool off in the August heat. The indoor space had everything you need, clean, beautifully decorated and offered 4 balconies to enjoy. Parking is challenging however we were offered a parking lot off site that provided golfcart transportation which is about 5 minutes to the property. There is no elevator and the staircase to reach the apartment is steep and narrow with low ceilings and turns making it quite difficult to navigate especially with luggage. A porter service was offered and I highly recommend using it for a minimal cost.
