Thallos Cave House and Apartments

The accommodation was amazing. The location was very good, you need 5 min walk to the bus station and the supermarket. It is located less than 5 min from Fira by bus and 15 min by foot. Eleni (the owner) is so friendly and helpful :).

Eleni and her family are lovely, this family run hotel really make you feel at home, there is no way to express how attentive they were to us, helped us understand the best spots on the island, and even has all the contacts for transportation, motorcycle rentals and day cruises.... If we come back to Santorini we will stay here again.

The room itself was a pretty basic standard room with all essentials you need. I expected it to be abit more bigger and it’s on the main road which was slightly concerning but fine. Overall everything was really good and cleaned well. The manager was amazing, she told us where to explore and helped a lot, she was super active always.

I was unsure about the breakfast as it was just cakes/doughnuts/bread/egg/croissants and juice. I would recommend having a menu so the guests can pick what they want for breakfast from the menu as then food isn’t going to waste and we can pick what we want. The variety needs to be a lot more as I don’t have bread/cakes and doughnuts for breakfast.

Everything. The host Eleni made our stay so special. She was super kind, accommodating and helpful. I will be recommending this property to all of my friends and family.

This is by far the nicest and most accommodating host I've encountered. Provided us with fresh breakfast earlier than the allotted time on both mornings we were there. Gave us great recommendations for places to visit and things to do. Even gave us a farewell gift to make the already special stay feel that much better!

The accommodations were absolutely lovely! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the AC was a nice reprieve from the hot sun. Our private balcony provided us with a gorgeous view of the sunrise. Eleni was a fantastic host who helped make us feel welcome and comfortable, and the breakfasts she provided were so delicious! It felt like a home away from home. The location is a bit of a walk outside of Fira, but it is close to some markets, grocery stores, and restaurants. As it is outside of Fira, it meant that it was very quiet and peaceful, which was nice after the busy and bustling streets of Fira! If we return to Santorini, we would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location, super easy to get to Thira and there’s some lovely restaurants in Karterados (especially the Indian restaurant just around the corner). The host was lovely and even gave us a little parting gift on our last day! Breakfast was delicious with variation and lots of pastries and treats. We especially enjoyed the excellent air conditioning after long days in the heat. Overall it was perfect for us.
