Hurdley House-Georgian Town House

What a fabulous place to stay! Spacious, clean, beautifully designed and furnished, and fully equipped with everything you need, it has a luxurious, boutique feel. We arrived to find lots of little treats left for us by the owner - a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, yummy Welsh biscuits and some basics. The Nespresso machine was a lovely touch and there were also coffee pods and tea. The kitchen is fully equipped and very spacious - there were seven of us and we loved that there was plenty of room for everyone to sit down together around the big dining table. The lounge was very comfortable and again there was plenty of space for everyone to sit down together. We loved the big sofas and the wood-burning stove, and there were plenty of logs and coals for the fire too. Upstairs, the bathrooms had mini toiletries and non-misting mirrors with ring lights incorporated. There were also lovely fluffy white towels. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable with luxurious high-quality sheets. There are lots of mirrors with good light for doing makeup in too! The cottage is in the very pretty village of Montgomery and it was a fantastic base to explore Wales. We happened to meet Julie, the owner, as we were leaving, and she was lovely and welcoming, and has clearly gone to great lengths to ensure that the Hurdley House experience is perfect. Thank you so much Julie - we had a wonderful stay in your beautiful Georgian townhouse!

Stunning decor, keypad is ideal for a big group, cleanliness was impeccable, and all of the treats were greatly appreciated! The butter was the best! The shower was so easy to use and great pressure! so much attention to detail, loved the recycling available (I’m an eco-warrior and this is rare at bnb’s), and even the ironing board and sun loungers came in use!
