Talbot House by Grandeur Property

It is a lovely spacious property, well furnished and very clean. Beds very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The house is in a lovely area, and it is only 10 minutes drive to the nearest beach.

It was cold! The heating was set to come on for an hour in the morning and from 5-8 in the evening. The rest of the time the thermostat was set at 9 degrees. We contacted the letting agent who tried to contact the owner and after a couple of days eventually got the house warm.

The house is fine but the whole holiday was spoilt by the property management company.

Unfortunately you have to deal with Grandeur Property Company who are fine to begin with but then you have to pay a £500 deposit that I had to fight to get back. After the holiday I waited a few weeks before chasing and they kept saying it had been sent and it must be pending but when I asked for proof that the money had been sent they never responded. In the end I had to go through Booking.com who chased it up with Grandeur Property and I finally got my money. It took nearly 7 weeks.

Well maintained and excellent facilities. Regular and meaningful contact before , during and after the stay from host company.

This house has an excellent location, being a short walk into town and to the nearest beach. The bedrooms were all a good size, very nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable! The rest of the house had great facilities. The garden was a good size for a medium sized dog.

The cleanliness could have been better ie there were dirty kitchen cupboards, toilet brushes and one of shower trays was blocked (unusable) and not fixed during our stay. The grass in the garden didn't seem to have been cut in a while and the back doors were very stiff and difficult to use.

The house was in a very nice area of Bournemouth. The garden and games room were a hit.

The most annoying thing was that our sleeping requirements was not met. We asked for one room to be made up with a double and single but the single was nod made up and when we enquired about getting the extra bedding to site, we were quoted a price of £50 for the privilege. This was totally out of order! With such a large house, a complimentary pint of milk on arrival would have been appreciated.

We were two families with children staying, and there was more than enough room. The pool table was great for the evenings, as were the huge tv screens and comfortable lounge furniture and beds. A great place to stay, very tidy and clean, recommended!
