We didn't know there were tenants living in the basement apartment. There were structural things inside that were broken (kitchen cabinet drawers broken, master bathroom shower soap tray broken, no sink stopper in upstairs bathroom, window screens tattered with holes in them, downstairs powder room door damaged, some beddoor handles broken or missing, rotten wood on door frames.

Smoke detectors disconnected and placed in kitchen drawer. Sinks, drains and bathroom countertops painted white. Odd smell in house. House seemed to be remodeled roughly. Whoever did the work was not concerned with appearances. Rooms were bare except for the beds. Checkout procedures not delivered until we were out of the house. One of my staff had to return to check cleanliness.
