Thistles Studio - Near Newark & Stubton Hall

The location was ideal for where I was working and has all the amenities you’d need for a single nights stay for one person.

The bed was a low-cost mattress that you could feel every spring in it, definitely needs upgrading. The most frustrating aspect however was that the hosts refused to provide an invoice/receipt for the stay. That gives the wrong impression, why can they not provide a receipt? What are they hiding? - They kept saying that I should get a receipt from Booking.com. Whether they're vat registered or not, a receipt/invoice for the stay is the very minimum anyone would expect. Still waiting now more than a month later.

It was clean and nicely done. We had all the facilities we needed for a quick overnight stay.

We had a small issue with not receiving the correct key box code, so we had to knock at the main house to let us in. The owner was very nice.

We was at a wedding at Stubton hall, the apartment had everything we needed and the hosts where there if we needed them.

Unique. Different to anywhere we’ve stayed previously. Was lovely and clean, well designed and owners lovely

Nothing really. Only comment would be TV bit small but not an issue

The location was perfect as it was 10 minutes from Caythorpe where my son and his family lived. The accommodation was small but perfectly formed it was clean tidy and very comfortable.

Just a small negative the bed was too small for us but that would be expected due to the size of the Thistles but wouldn't stop us from coming again.

Not used to a smaller double bed as we have king size at home. However slept well so maybe that our problem not the property.
