Meadow Mill Apartments by Staycay

Self contained and location

The lift wasn’t working and we didn’t find this out until the day before we were due to check in. Cleaning wasn’t the best. A vape was left on the kitchen bench. There was only one towel despite the booking being for 2 people. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the doona had been put on the wrong way.

The place was very dirty on arrival, floors, sink, partially eaten food left in the fridge (including takeaway food). The bed looked as though it had been slept in, the sheets were poorly fitted and very crumpled, and the two single mattresses on the bed were like a very well used trampoline. Poor wifi connection which took a day or two to remedy. Nothing could be done on a Sunday evening to address the cleaning, so I moved to another apartment for the night (although this option wasn't offered until I asked). The place was better the next day but still not totally cleaned. I did stay in another of the apartments earlier this year and it was very good. No idea what happened this time. A refund of the cleaning fee was offered but I haven't received this to date.

The mattress had a broken part that scratched our legs.

The décor was lovely, the door lock was cool and the bathroom was pretty

The bath drain hole was mouldy, the duvet sheet wasn’t made properly, the pans were poor quality to clean food off it was very difficult and the WiFi was terrible. Every day I had to contact them about the WiFi and the response time was hourly which is very disappointing considering what I paid included WiFi and it would take up to two hours to get it resolved every day.

Cosy apartment, enough for one night.

Lots of work going on in building but didn't affect our stay. Could have done with a hoover as floor was bitty.

It was very modern yet cosy at the same time. It was close to the place we were visiting.
