Delight double bedroom in Mowbray

The room was neat, the bed was comfortable and linen was clean. The bathroom was clean, the shower water was warm and pressure perfect.

The accommodation description on booking.com was misleading as the expectation was a flatlet and upon arrival we were welcomed into a 3 bedroom duplex, which we shared with other tenants and the caretaker who was sleeping on a mattress under the staircase behind a chair in a living area. Whilst the photos are giving an impression of a private accommodation with no shared facilities. We had to kitchen, bathroom ans living area with everyone. J. There's no reception area. There's no desk The kitchen was crawling with cockroaches which we observed when we were preparing crockery and cutlery to put on and use for takeaway dinner. Another cockroach was seen by chance going into the bedroom. When we were leaving we shook-off our clothes as we didn't want to carry any cockroach/cockroaches to our home. The caretaker was constantly on her mobile phone which was put on speaker, forcing us to mind her business as if we don't have our own business to mind. On our last night we were woken in the middle of night by the noise from her long term tenants and she didn't call them to order to be mindful of others in the house.

No one answered the phone. No one was there to give me access. No one answered the emails I sent. I eventually had to find a different place, which turned out to be wonderful. This is a dump, scam and rip off

Absolutely nothing. It was horrifying. These people don't deserve to be affiliated with Booking. com.

We stood outside the gates for 2 hours when we arrived. The owners weren't even swift to answer their messages. We tried calling but there was no answer. Eventually they opened. We were so disappointed upon arrival. The room was very small and not even a table it had for my husband to set his laptop on for work. The unfriendly staff were all over the show. The place is very untidy. They even have broken towels hanging in their communal bathroom. The yard is a terrible mess too. If I could share and attach photos I would show you exactly how messy that place was and smelly. We had no privacy because the staff made so much noise constantly. Then upon departure the cleaner ran after us and confronted us about a towel she was missing. We turned around and had to show her exactly where she left it it the cupboard. That was an insult to us, since we are self employed and my husband is an accountant.
