It's incredibly clean, decorated nicely, has a nice terrace overlooking a courtyard with a great breeze. Apartment is better than the pictures as the tub has been swapped out for a nice walk-in shower. Towels were so soft and bed was just right. Gyula has provided things for travelers like a sewing kit, a first aid kit, soap for the washing machine, plus the hair dryer. He also put a few drinks in the refrigerator! This is a great location and the building is very quiet.

Gyula met us on arrival, helped us into the garage and also into the apartment. He spent a while explaining things and emailed us useful tips on all manor of stuff in Budapest. The apartment is in a fantastic location, a short walk from Andrassy Ave and 10 minutes walk from the Danube River, with the added massive bonus of a free parking space in the middle of Budapest. Within 5 minutes walk there are hundreds of retaurants and cafes and a number of mini supermarkets. For the reasons detailed in What I didn't lie, it's the perfect place for a couple to stay in while exploring and experiencing Budapest. The apartment had everything we needed including the washing machine and a covered deck to postion the clothes rack on.

The airconditioning machine is an older machine situated in the furthest corner of the bedroom, so only cools the bedroom. It was 35C outside and the lounge area was like a sauna. The cool bedroom air had too far to go to reach the lounge area. This was an issue for my 20 year old son, who was using the sofabed in the lounge to sleep on. To compound things the sofabed was very uncomfortable, as it's not actually a bed, rather it's the sofa extended out. The sofa bed is really only suitable for chilren, not grown people.

Fantastic apartment! Quiet but right in the middle of the vibey bar and restaurant scene. It has all the amenities you need for a great city stay and is close to public transport or walking routes around the city. Great host who really cares and makes your stay easy.

Great location & secure. Clean & well equipped kitchen & bathroom. Owner met us to check in & show us around. He even provided some beer & soft drinks which was great.

Bedroom needs better blockout curtains. Pillows are not very good ( quite flat).

I cannot fault our stay. Communication with our host was excellent prior. This is a nice 1 bedroom apartment, with no noise from the outside. Very secure. Our host was fantastic at making us comfortable. Absolutely cannot beat the location. The bathroom was newly renovated. Water pressure and temperature were great.

We loved that Gyula met us at the apartment and gave us the lay of the land. The apartment is well appointed and comfortable. And a great location. We cooked breakfast every morning in a kitchen that had everything. The Spar grocery store is a pleasant walk. This apartment is a wonderful oasis in the city. So very quiet with a nice balcony to have your coffee on. The shower is amazing! I loved this apartment and would stay there again.

I'm having a hard time coming up with something that I thought needed improvement.
