We stayed for one night as a young couple on a low budget and appreciated several aspects of the property. The house was fully equipped and came with a generous selection of food and drinks for breakfast, which was a thoughtful touch. The location was also a big plus—right by the lake and conveniently close to Lugano, Gandria, and Brè, making it easy for us to explore the area without much hassle.

However, the building itself was quite old and not well maintained, which took away from the overall comfort. The balcony hadn’t been cleaned, and the bed was actually a fold-out sofa, which was surprisingly comfortable. While there was air conditioning, we couldn’t control it ourselves as only the homeowner could adjust it remotely.

Everything was great. It's easy to love a stay in that beautiful region but our hosts took it to a whole new level! The welcome was great despite the late hour of our arrival. Would definitely come back

Completely Misleading Listing – Very Disappointing Stay I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking this property. The listing on Booking.com was completely misleading. It advertised a one-bedroom apartment of 60+ sqm, but what we received was a small studio, less than half the size, with no separate bedroom and only an uncomfortable sofa bed. There was no proper bed, which made it very difficult to rest properly. Worse still, the apartment had serious maintenance issues. The heating barely worked (none at all in the bathroom), the air conditioning functioned sporadically, and the electricity cut out multiple times during our stay. The apartment was cold, damp, and unwelcoming—especially unacceptable during colder months. We arrived to find the space freezing and humid, and I became ill during the stay due to the cold conditions. My sister also fell sick shortly after. Despite contacting both the property and Booking.com immediately, the response was slow and unhelpful. The small refund offered did not come close to addressing the false advertising, the health risks, and the extra costs we incurred by having to urgently book a hotel on our own. We’ve been using Booking.com for many years and have never encountered such a disappointing experience. This was by far the worst place I’ve stayed in over 25 years of traveling. The listing is not only inaccurate—it’s downright dishonest. I hope the property and Booking.com take responsibility and update the description so that no other guests have to go through what we did.

Good central location for Cima, the private lake access is very nice and the hosts are responsive and helpful

The bed is not a bed, its a pull out sofa only, and is cripplingly uncomfortable. It is a ground floor studio apartment and it would make so much more sense just to have a normal full bed instead of the sofa. The pillows are also unfortunately very poor and sparsely filled with incomplete filling. It would cost little to get some new pillows from Ikea (or the like) that would make a big difference for a comfortable night's sleep. In it's current guise it feels like we were camping. The wifi also did not work properly after the first night, we had to leave to find internet access elsewhere. The hosts did their best and were responsive but were unfortunately unable to resolve these challenges. We were kindly offered a night's accommodation by the hosts as recompense.
