"Hab mich wohl und sicher gefühlt"

Lage und Aussstattung

Es war erst kein w lan aber nach einer. Weile hing es und lief unproblematisch. Fernseher ging Bon Anfang an nicht und wurde auch nicht geklärt.

"Ruhig gelegene Maisonette mitten im Geschehen von Genua"

Sehr süße, kleine Maisonette: alles wie auf den Fotos. Das Personal war sehr nett & direkt zur Stelle; im Übrigen wurden auch Vorschläge mit Empfehlungen unterbreitet.

Durch die Lage zur Mauer war es recht feucht & damit ideal für Mücken.

"Nice apartment, terrible management"

The apartment is quite nice, recently renovated and in strategic location to visit Genoa's old town. Fast internet.

We booked this apartment for a whole week to visit my family and work remotely. We checked in relatively late on a Sunday, and the employee of the company that owns the place was obviously in a hurry (understandably, as it was a bank holiday weekend). Immediately after he left, we realised that the apartment had not been cleaned at all. All the surfaces (railings, kitchen shelves, sofa, headboard, etc.) were incredibly dusty, as they had not been cleaned in weeks, and, most disturbingly, the floors were dirty and sticky in some spots and the bed sheets had stains of dubious origin well in sight. I contacted the agency the following morning and they promised to send a cleaner before lunch. The cleaner only showed up at three in the afternoon after I reminded them that we needed a heads up (it was a bank holiday in Italy, but not where we live and work). The cleaner spent 30-40 minutes in the flat, changed the bedsheets and ostensibly cleaned the floors, after which they left. At that point we were working in the outdoor area, so when we got back in we realised the floors were still filthy (a piece of wet toilet paper would turn black). I had completely lost confidence in their ability to clean up, so I spent one and a half hours scrubbing and mopping the floors, which resulted in not one but four buckets of completely black water. I am Italian, and I know in Italy people wear shoes inside, however these were floors that had maybe been wetted with water only. I reached out again to the local branch of the agency, which suggested to send in a formal complaint to the head customer service, which I did. I did not hear from them for days, after which I reach out via WhatsApp resending the pictures of the filth that was on the floors and everywhere else, asking for a refund. They apologised and promised to forward the complaint to customer care. They never got back to me, so I raised a complaint via Booking. Today I received 47 EUR refund, which is quite frankly a joke.
