The people, employees, shuttle drivers, all very friendly and helpful. A cool unique experience somewhere different to stay.

We were a bit cold, look it’s pretty basic but I think that it’s clear from the description! So just keep expectations in check :) it’s a bit out of town but all the shuttle services worked well

The staff at this property were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The Ukrainian girl who looked after the beer taps and coffee bar was an absolute joy! The restaurant food was very good with generous helpings, and the included breakfast had lots of options and was kept stocked up. The location offered stunning views, literally from the top of the mountain overlooking Monterosso. A free shuttle could be booked in morning to take guests down, or in evening to return. The remoteness was quite peaceful and we awoke to the sound of birds ( or bells). We found our room and the main building to be very clean.

The remoteness meant a vehicle was needed to come or go. The property arranges for a free shuttle, but spots are limited and must be booked to secure your spot. There are three morning runs between 9:15-10:30. Once down the mountain, the only option to return with the shuttle is late in the day, around 6:30 pm. So, it can be a LONG day, unless you want to pay for a taxi to come back earlier. The mountain road has many switchbacks and is not for the faint of heart! Our room was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was updated. Still, this is a very old facility and the age shows. Floor tiles were loose, furnishings sparse, few amenities. If you are expecting luxury, this is NOT for you. If you embrace solitude and simplicity, you will appreciate it! I wish we knew in advance there was a restaurant operating at the facility, as we paid a lot to eat in town before heading up; only to learn that delicious, affordable food was being served right on the premises! I felt this could be better communicated. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, met some lovely people, slept well and felt very welcome!
