Wasini Raha Snorkeling and Diving

Ally was an incredible host. I got very sick right before arriving and he took great care of me, accompanying me to and from the hospital many times and helping me with anything I needed. Very reliable and kind guy :)

At the time of our booking, the property description sounded great. Sadly, upon arrival, we found the property did not match the description. So much so, we thought we may have gone to the wrong place. It was not clean, did not have most of the advertised features, and did not have the advertised views. We were put in the uncomfortable position of having to share our dismay and cut our stay 4 days short.

The hotel is simple but nice for relaxing after an ocean safari. The room was clean (no insects). There is an outdoor terrace. The staff was nice and warm. The water pressure in the shower was low, but that’s normal for Africa. In addition, there is no water on the island, they use rainwater and bring water from the mainland for drinking. The food was delicious – fish, crab, prawns, etc. The hotel is not on the ocean, the hotel is on the second line. We went to the hotel because we wanted an ocean safari. The hotel manager Ally organized a very nice full day ocean safari – coconut crab island, dolphin tour, coral gardens and also a small island tour. Ally also organized a transfer – by tuk-tuk from the highway to Shimoni port and then by boat from Shimoni to Wasini Island. I recommend it if you want an ocean vacation.

Calm and in a beautiful place

The island is quite underdeveloped and only has limited electricity and water, so don't come if you need lots of facilities/comforts. However, if you are looking for a unique experience look no further Ally was an exceptional host and was excellent and looking after me and recommending things to do during my stay. Thoroughly recommended!

Great

The island does not have regular electricity. Everything runs on solar. Because of this, the electrical plugs were not working. But the owner took my devices to charge when I was Snorkling.
