Single room with Private Bathroom

At first could not get i to property, tried calling seller no answer! Once in the room as the front door had been ledt open it had dirty bedsheets, empty cans some.dark substance in the sink, old.food in the freezer and not clean at all so DID NOT STAY !!!! Awaiting a full refund

Worst check in experience ever. Mouldy, dirty hallway, they don't seem to hoover or clean, only inside the rooms. They seemed to have no record of my booking. Was no answer at the door when I was ringing the bell . Door was open. There was no reception just a dark hallway. Called upstairs for ten minutes. The guy had no idea what he was doing when he turned up. Asked me what my room number was and if I had the landlady's number?! Then told me my email confirmation wasn't good enough and he needed some actual details about the room. At this point I was quite angry as it was late and is paid up front. At no point was I welcomed or told to enjoy my stay. Didn't seem to have the key to my room until he retrieved them from another guests. Seems like a front. But it's cheap, far out of the city, and was available last minute, I got what I paid for. Cherry on top I got an email after checking out asking where id left the key. I left it in the door. How could you not look there? This is not a hotel as advertised. I could hear a shower running all night. If you wanna sleep behind some bins for a cheap price this is the place. It's NOT a holiday stay. Bed was fine, area is famously dodgy. I would definitely shell out an extra ten or twenty pounds to stay in safety next time, and actual hotel, and not be treated like an inconvenient stranger by the hosts ! Replying to the owner: Yes, it is YOUR responsibility to check in your guests. Where were you? Why weren't you picking up your phone? I had told you in advance of my arrival and you said it was fine. And finally, hoovwering this place isnt going to fix the mould or the fact the owner is absent when you want to arrive. I have never in my life been told I have to call up the landlord for a room I've already paid for. I would worry about future accomodations. Do not book this place

It had kettle, microwave and grill oven.

Bathroom was small and wasn't wiped down. Despite heater turned all the way up, it was still cold, especially the bathroom. I did not mind that there was no wifi, but the room itself blocked cell data reception, got marginal reception under the bathroom doorway. Used joint on the floor. Given the wrong PIN for key locker.
