Country Cottage on Private Estate

Fantastic location, amazing dog walks right from your door. Really comfy bed and the shower was great.

Nothing we would definitely stay again

Cosy and thoughtful cottage set in a stunning estate, it was the perfect reset after a busy season. It’s perfectly equipped so we were able to travel light, close to amenities and you are free to roam the estate which made for very happy children and dog! We stayed an extra night and cancelled another booking because we were enjoying ourselves so much.

Rose Cottage has everything you need for a cosy stay. Lots of room, beautiful fire with plenty of wood supplied, well equipped kitchen with lovely dinner set and glassware, comfortable beds and all the little 'special touches' that make you feel welcome and comfortable. - and it is dog friendly. It is in a lovely estate with lots of walking paths along the river or through the woodland. We enjoyed watching the bird life around the lake and seeing squirrels on our walks and feeding the chickens our food scraps. Hosts Lewis and Alice are very welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed, with lots of good advice on local restaurants and places of interest. We loved our stay and wish we could give more than five stars in every category.

There is nothing we didn't like about our stay at Rose Cottage - except perhaps that it wasn't longer.

The host were very welcoming. They even provided cutlery and bowls for the baby we could keep. Lovely house very clean I would go back

Rose cottage is spacious and beautifully decorated and clean. It’s perfect for relaxing after a busy day and has everything you need to chill out with family or friends after a busy day. The whole estate is immaculate and obviously well cared for.
