Villa Holidays in Torre Bennistra

Villa Holidays in Torre Bennistra is a unique Sicilian stay. We spent eight days in Scopello, two simply relaxing all day at the accommodation. The view over mountains, tower and sea are wonderful. You can literally spend your time watching the ever-changing light over the water and landscape. We made sure not to miss a sunrise, and every one was incredible, different and lovely. The house has all you need, and is beautifully kept and quite newly renovated. It is spacious, with two floors, though we only used the bottom floor. The kitchen has no oven, but a good gas cooktop. There’s a good-sized bathroom with a fine hot shower. Comfortable outside area with deck chairs, a table and chairs and an outside shower. Water is fresh from a mountain spring. A washing machine lives secretly outside at the back. Honestly, for value for money, you are getting a resort location at a fraction of the cost. Scopello was the most genuinely authentic place we visited in Sicily. Vincenzo, our host, was a helpful soul, a lovely man who explained to us how he must shoo away the ‘crows’ that came down from the mountains sometimes to rub themselves against the walls. The ‘crows’ turned out to be cows, who visited in a herd one afternoon, solemnly ringing their big church-sounding cowbells. You reach Village Holidays at Torre Bennistra via a long and winding road. Take that road. It will lead you to a special place.

The road is bumpy and unpaved. But it’s the reason for the house’s sweeping panorama and splendid isolation.

Widok niesamowity, dom bardzo czysty i czuć że nowy. Droga do domu nie jest najprostsza (małą Dacia daliśmy radę) ale to co jest w domku i cały widok to rekompensuje.
