Riverfront House in Harpers Ferry

Fairly quiet location. Kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were clean; however, I think the property could use a good dusting to remove cobwebs and dead bugs. I must say, that the host did provide very detailed and useful information regarding property access, and locations to visit.

I think that because the property sitting in front of the water was the best view, aside from that, there was no desire to sit outside. There were a lot of bugs, not sure whether it was from being close to the water, or from the chickens next door.

Back door access lock did not work, needs new batteries or repair - called number for issues but no response. front door lock worked fine

Property is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Space is great and it was impeccable when we arrived.

Comfortable, well equipped home. Comfortable beds and nice kitchen and living areas. Spectacular view of the Potomac river. Conveniently located between historic Harper’s Ferry and Shepherdstown WV. Nice quiet neighborhood. Owner was very easy to communicate with.

The house was extremely clean and decorated well. The beds were very comfortable. The coffee and toiletries were a nice option. The neighborhood is very quiet. The firepit by the water was our favorite feature.

Having a little dock to access the river would make this house even better. Getting in and out was a little difficult. A larger couch in the basement would be a nice feature as well.

The location was stunning. Right on the bank of the Potomac. Deer and rabbits visited each morning and evening. We went swimming in the river in the evening, and the water was cold. It’s a very quiet neighborhood, we gathered on the deck, pictured in the site here, nightly, grilled our dinner and planned our next days adventure. The house was big, well furnished, and we loved the big family table in the kitchen. No negative s!

Excellent place to stay, quiet neighborhood... everyone was so friendly. The only thing they need is a dock, so we could of brought our boat. But a nice place! We will be back! 😉
