We were initially uncertain when booking the apartment as it had only one review, but needn’t have been: it corresponded exactly to the photos, and a tree was even decorated for Christmas. The apartment is spacious and newly refurbished, so everything is very well maintained and equipped. The open view is fantastic, but close enough to walk to the town centre (beware steep steps in the immediate neighbourhood, although we liked winding our way between the houses). The property also felt secure. We enjoyed the lower terrace, even though in December didn’t make much use of the outside table or grill. Beds were very comfortable, lots of storage, and toilet(3)/bathroom(2) ratio was appreciated!

We had a small issue with the sink on arrival, but the property promptly responded via WhatsApp and the maintenance team fixed it the next day. Dogs in the area are quite loud, though expected most places in Funchal.
