Rainha II Beach Apartment

I was a solo traveller and I felt totally safe. The apartment was central, almost on the beach, yet quiet area. It was clean, had everything that was needed, especially air conditioning/fan! Lots of wardrobes with coat hangers.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but two things that would make it easier would be: 1. Some hooks and a towel rail in shower room. 2. USB ports, particularly at the bedside and/or kitchen worktop.

Great to have a washing machine but it’s a little noisy as this is an open plan apartment

Really close proximity to the beach, and main streets while being on a quite street so not a lot of noise.

Disgusting Sewage smell from the bathroom, which was there from the moment we walked in. Disappointed that they only dropped over a fragrance diffuser after I messaged to complain. They were already aware of the problem so I feel this should have already been in place on arrival. They left the shower drain stopper disassembled after cleaning before our arrival so a direct line down to the sewer was fully open where the smell was coming up. For what we paid for the few nights it was really disappointing that not more was done beforehand to mitigate the smell. In addition to this, I was a bit surprised by the fees associated with checking in after 8pm (€30) after 11pm (€60) it made it really inconvenient and stressful to get there before these times. Check out was also very early and not generally the norm at 10am.. otherwise later check out would incur additional fees. There is also a fee for taking the shampoo out of the property, they have a sign about this and you see it the minute you get in the door which comes across as unfriendly and uninviting to guests.

Ideal location right beside everything but still very quiet area. Not a main street. 1min to beach 30seconds to restaurants/shop/bars. 1 flight of stairs. Apartment is bright and airy with plenty of storage. Very comfy bed and all little necessities included in kitchen/bathroom. Will definitely return Thanks so much x
