Views were amazing! Very peaceful

Shower didn’t work properly and kept going from cold to roasting hot

Absolutely everything. The location was exceptional, with the most picturesque scenery in every direction. The view from the front door was just incredible, absolutely surreal. The owner (John) absolutely could not have done more to make you feel so welcome. Also such a short drive into the gorgeous wee town of Moffat as well. Cant fault it at all.

Took a while for heating to warm up the cabin. It was very cold at the time however.

Too small – we’ve holidayed in similar properties before but they were all slightly bigger than this one. The sofa was uncomfortable with a horrible vinyl cover like you would see in a care home. Interior lighting cold and poorly distributed – the central light fitting had a bulb that was incompatible with the dimmer switch so was actually unusable due to constant flickering. No extractors so heavy condensation from cooking and showering – the result of this is that damp and mould is visible at the bottom of much of the woodwork. Toilet leaked – not due to condensation as was "explained" to us. Microwave supplied but no microwaveable cookware. Only one pot supplied but two electric rings! No hooks or hangers for clothes. Decking was treacherously greasy with annoying flashing safety lighting. Car has to be parked 100m away which is not ideal in typically Scottish autumn weather. Although the hosts were excellent, Wigwam Holidays (as a big concern) appear to be skimping on both facilities and maintenance as this property is in serious need of an upgrade.
