Das Haus ist klein, aber gut ausgestattet.

Der als „cosy“ beschriebene Garten wurde umgestaltet und ist jetzt öde und langweilig. Nur noch Rasenfläche, keine Büsche, Hecken oder Blumen mehr. Die Gartenmöbel - Sitzauflagen und Schirm sind dreckig, der Schirm zudem kaputt.

freezing cold house on arrival with malfunctioning boiler (managed to fix ouselves as we have same boiler fortunately), general lack of cleanliness (kitchen/bathroom need deep clean), unloved feel and bric a brac furniture ...we left 1 night early as house didnt feel comfortable space to spend time in sadly

Cosy cottage nice space to relax after busy travel days. All required if self catering.

Poor directions for finding the cottage. There were no street numbers or street name, our GPS took us way off track due to this. No or very few instructions to operate the heating, which were water column type, which aren't something we have where we live. I contacted the number provided in the compendium for any help or assistance. I left a message requesting assistance and was never contacted over the 5 days we were there to provide any help. We had to resort to utube to try and sort it out. The instructions for the disposal of rubbish both recycled and general rubbish referred to different coloured bags, of which there were none and days to leave out rubbish for collection was also not correct. We ended up taking the rubbish with us. Instructions for laundry upon leaving were also useless. Again, referring to bags to be used, of which there weren't any. The entry cabinet drawer was stuffed full of various pamphlets/brochures. They needed to be gone through, and the majority tossed as not relevant. Given the rate paid to stay at the cottage, we would have thought there would be a choice of at least one internet/cable channel on the TV. Sometimes, you just want a night in.

A typical Cotswold cottage, very pretty and well furnished. Bedding was clean and fresh. The cottage was a five minute walk to Broadway high street. The garden area was spacious with plenty of outdoor seating.

On arrival we were dismayed to find an outside storage box was infested with maggots due to a large bag of rubbish not being removed. We messaged the point of contact twice but they did not respond. The three night stay was subsequently marred as we were concerned in case our 22 month old granddaughter in curiosity opened the box. This obviously was a health hazard that could have been promptly dealt with by the proprietor. It was disappointing that we did not receive any acknowledgment of our texts and that no action was taken to deal with the problem.
