The absence of Wi-Fi connection and poor signal in general

The location is great in the very center of the city and the nearby parking garage makes it perfect for people coming by car. It could be good for a group of friends who don't need wifi and don't mind the issues outlined below.

While the apartment itself would have been okay, we were very unpleasantly surprised by the host and their actions made it hard to enjoy our stay. First, they replied in Italian to a question about check in that I sent in English (I google translated it, but so could they). Then, when we arrived, the sofa was pulled out even though there were only two guests (and there is a bed), so we couldn't enjoy it as a sofa (we tried to close it, but the mechanism seemed fragile). Most shockingly, the washing machine was on, mid-wash with a load of laundry (sheets, from what I could see), with no note on why that was the case. The checkout time is 11, and we checked in quite late - 4 pm, and we arrived later than that, so while something unexpected could have happened to not be able to sort out the cleaning in 5 hours, we would expect to be notified. We had no idea if someone would be coming after the end of the wash cycle, and in the end, they didn't, so the wet laundry sat in the machine overnight until we left the next morning, which made us question the cleanliness of our sheets. If the initial communication with the host was better and if the apartment had wifi, maybe we would have addressed this with them during the stay, but as things were we were just looking forward to leaving, unfortunately.

Amazing location, with fantastic private parking garage (note car length = max 4.75m). It is very close to the apartment and Spacious apartment with lots of character, historic building on the ground floor. Nice family kitchen table and beautiful living room. It was a nice stay and would totally recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful city, if the negatives are not an issue to you.

No WiFi would be the biggest issue, don’t understand why. It’s not the walls, there were multiple other networks present. Considering 4G hardly works, this can be issue for some. Also, the owner didn’t reply to my questions in the booking app. He just sent me a standard instruction message in Italian, which I had to then google translate. So hardly any communication, so I won’t judge. Anyway, not a big deal, as it worked out ok in the end. Bathroom dated, but ok.

The location is in a quiet street, in the historical city center, 2 minutes walk to the seafront down the street, 5 mins to the restaurant and bar zone when you turn left at the pharmacy. Several supermarkets within 5-7 mins walk, a bar on the corner. The apartment is on the ground level, with the direct private entrance. It is very spacious, with high ceilings, tastefully decorated with interesting details of antique furniture combined with modern amenities. Clean and with plenty of space, it is even nicer than in the photos. If you are coming by car, this should be your first choice, since the private parking provided is really private, in a small garage, protected by two doors. Finally, the host was responsive to communication, pleasant and and accurate, which was important for us, given we made a reservation only a day ahead.

No WiFi internet. Also there is no mobile network signal in apartment, probably because of the thick walls. Poor facilities (old equipment, no coffee machine).
