GBWe were very disappointed with our stay on this boat due to a number of serious issues that were not disclosed at the time of booking, particularly around accessibility and basic facilities. Firstly, the boat is not suitable for children or anyone with a disability. There is no ramp or safe access on or off the boat, which made it extremely difficult and unsafe. This also meant we were unable to access the shared toilet facilities, especially concerning as we were not informed that the toilet on the boat itself was not working. This information should have been made very clear before booking. The boat itself needs a lot of work. The heater was not warm enough, and we were freezing throughout the night. On top of this, the fuse board was broken, meaning you couldn’t use more than one electrical item at a time — again, something that was never mentioned in the listing and caused a lot of inconvenience. That said, I do want to be fair and say that the man who owns the boat was lovely and very helpful. The issues are not with him personally, but with the condition of the boat and the lack of transparency in the booking description. Overall, the boat needs significant improvements and clearer, honest information provided upfront. Had we known about these issues in advance, we would not have booked, especially with children and accessibility needs.
