We chose these apartments specifically because they are about a 10-minute walk from the airport. We travelled from another country and arrived the evening before our early morning flight in order to get proper rest and avoid any risk of missing the plane. We were travelling with two children (8 years old and 1 year 3 months). The listing on Booking clearly stated that a baby crib for children aged 0–2 is always available for €5 for the entire stay. This was one of the key reasons we chose this property. However, when we arrived there was no baby crib in the apartment. The host later said that a crib was not available at this location at all. Instead of solving the problem, we were told that someone could come in about an hour and bring €10 in cash as compensation. Waiting an hour for €10 obviously did not solve the issue, especially because our baby should already have been asleep by that time. Without the crib our planned sleeping arrangement was impossible and our entire family could not get proper rest before a very early flight with connections. Another disturbing issue was the condition of the bedding. We found multiple hairs and particles embedded in the sheets, which created the impression that the bedding had already been used or not properly cleaned. An additional concerning detail: after the host claimed that a baby crib was not available at all, I checked the property description again and noticed that the information about the crib had suddenly disappeared from the listing. Fortunately I had saved a screenshot of the original version as evidence. Overall this experience was extremely stressful and disappointing for a family travelling with small children.
