Very nice, well maintained motel. . do not miss eating at smoking barrels resturant.

Bishops is an absolute gem! Exceptionally clean rooms with crisp linens. The room was modern. The shower was clean and the water was hot. The weather was in the 90’s and the rooms AC kept us ice cold. There was no noise audible from other rooms and the staff treated us like family. The continental breakfast was beyond the average coffee and pastries. There was fresh bananas and hot waffles available. What a wonderful place. It was clean, comfortable and had a welcoming and safe environment. Bishops provides a quality room and services that other hotels charge 2 or 3x for. My wife and I were on a motorcycle trip to enjoy the local roads. There isn’t much in the area so we had little expectations. What a wonderful surprise. They even provided us with towels to clean our motorcycles!

This place was so much more than we expected that I can’t even nit pick. I guess IF i have to, the king bed only had 4 pillows, not 12.

A comfortable and convenient stopover for travellers to/from New England and Quebec City (110 miles). Staff at the Motel are always friendly and the rooms are always clean. There's a great sandwich and general store across the street from the Motel. A short walk to MaMa Bear's Den for one of the best breakfast experiences anywhere. Supper at Smokin' Barrels is good and friendly. Take a short trip to Moxie Falls (near The Forks) to see the highest waterfall in Maine. Laugh a lot at the Trading Post shop, and the local supermarket is now under much better ownership. Most of the nicer homes are down dirt roads towards the lake. If you like local history, stop at the Museum. There's also golf, hiking, boating... and don't forget the moose, deer, bear and bobcats!

Nothing. It's just a relaxing place to hang your hat and snooze for a night or two.
