Beach Front Harbor Island

The location was great. The area was quiet. However, the access to the beach was limited because the nearest boardwalk was under repair the entire time we were there.

There was a constant banging noise from the chimney that was not addressed the entire time we were there enough though it was brought to the attention of the management company. There was mold and musty smells in the showers, stairways, sliding doors and around the windows. The fireplace did not work. A golf cart was not included even though I saw literature indicating there would be. No dressers to store clothing. No games, puzzles or lists of local attractions. There were issues with the toilet that was quickly addressed. No dish rack in the kitchen. The most annoying thing was the banging noise which hampered my sleep. I asked for a refund which I have STILL not received, 2 weeks later.

The house was fine, space was adequate for the size of our party and the sheets, beds and towels were good. The kitchen had a good number of plates, cups and utensils. The kitchen was useable for the time we were at the home. Door was easy to access and had keyless entry (but that was not how the contract stated you would have access to the home), there were no keys to the house.

The house did not have the amenities that were listed in the advertisement. The most disappointing item was that we expected the golf cart based on the booking advertisement but it was not there and management said one was not available when asked. I would have chosen a different experience had I known that there was not an GOLF CART available or that the Beach access next to the house was closed for repairs. The location of the home is so far onto the island that having close beach access and a golf car is what we were looking forward to being able to use to explore the island. I would not stay on this island again without the golf cart as I had individuals with limited mobility and they were not able to easily walk the distance to the next closest beach access and the community rules limit parking of cars in so many areas we were not able to enjoy the island.
