Seochon Secret Cave House

This place is a real hidden gem. The secret private cave was super cool! Central heating was so convenient as it was extremely cold outside (0-10 degrees). Nice private patio outside too. Property had bunk beds, hot water, a large fridge, great kitchen and laundry set up. Lots of space for all 12 of us (including 2 kids). Taxis didn’t like going all the way up to the hill, but they still took you far enough to be safe and get home with a few steps around the corner. Close to bus stop which takes you straight to city hall. It’s a local area which was also nicer than being in a touristy area. Taxis were only 10-15,000 KRW to Myeong Dong. The host was extremely nice and helpful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay here.

The stairs to the bunk beds could have more railings to be a bit safer for kids (no problems for adults).

Very convenient for us, 6 of us had their own bed, very well equipped, close to the palace in a nice neighbourhood. The host is really helpful.

Friendly and helpful host that checked in on us and maintained communication with us before the trip, replying to all our questions. The location was a pleasant walk away from the Main Street that had good food and shops. The property was very cozy and comfortable and was quite well equipped with many cups, nice shampoo and conditioner, and a nice living room.

There was a pungent smell emitting from the toilet in the first bedroom on the right of the entrance which made staying in that room unpleasant. Might be bleach but not sure. One of the rooms did not have an aircon remote while the tv was a bit glitchy

The home was very clean and pretty. The beds were Very comfortable. We appreciated the AC and ability to store and cook our own food. The home is walking distance to Inwangsan Mountain trail which is a very nice morning or evening walk (hills and stairs) with a pretty sunset and view of the whole city if you're willing to climb.

The home is up a steep hill so it's more difficult for walking to shops, market and restaurants for people who are older or have trouble walking. The younger people in our group were able to walk to bakeries, coffee shops, small grocery store and small Korean market. It is walking distance to a bus stop that can take you basically anywhere through various connections (two small steep climbs even for that though).

Beautiful and comfortable place for a group of us! Close to the bus and a convenience store (3 minute steep walk). Though we did not get the chance to hike, we could see the trail and looked like a great hike! The rooms were in great temperature and beds were cozy. Linen was clean and plenty was available. We had a short stay and I apologize to the owner for not notifying our arrival time sooner, (as we did not have service) she was not only waiting for us at the property she showed us around and gave us thorough instructions for anything we might not know how to use. The cave is such an unique and nice addition, it made a whole experience out of it. The area is quiet yet us being a group you could not hear much noise from the outside due to great soundproofing in the home (only the bedrooms are facing other properties). The place is near cafes and nice sightseeing spots and a walk or short bus ride to the Palace. Everything was awesome and I hope I get to stay in the future again! Thank you for such a beautiful place. I fully recommend it to both groups and even smaller groups looking for commodity and space.

No bad comments, everything was great! Note to future guests is that it is up a steep road so I do recommend grabbing a taxi if coming with many luggage. Use an app like KAKAOT which helped us find transportation at a very affordable price.

It was lovely, clean, comfortable and beautiful. The host was lovely and made us feel welcome. Inside 500m there are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants which we enjoyed exploring. We also went to the great bookstore cafe up the hill for breakfast, which was excellent.
