Η θέα από το μπαλκόνι ήταν φανταστική. Όπως και το σαλόνι.

Αυτό που δε μου άρεσε ήταν το πάτωμα το οποίο ήταν ανώμαλο σε κάποιεςΑυτό που δε μου άρεσε ήταν το πάτωμα το οποίο ήταν ανώμαλο σε κάποια σημεία έγερνε… και για να πας από την κρεβατοκάμαρα με το διπλό κρεβάτι στο σαλόνι έπρεπε να περάσεις μέσα από την κρεβατοκάμαρα με τα δύο μονά, και για να πας αντίστροφα… προς το μπάνιο … έπρεπε περάσεις μέσα από την πρώτη.

It smelled like sulfur/sewage a bit in the kitchen and bathroom.

I agree with all previous reviews about location and view, cleanliness and comfort. It was a privilege to be able to experience staying in a historic building in the best area of Corfu city. There are a few things I would point out, some of which have been mentioned: there are 55 stairs up to the apartment, the floors are sloping and uneven, only the hand-held part of the shower works, you have to take your own rubbish out to the public bins (there is a notice in the kitchen), the balcony is very narrow and not really conducive to sitting out on (furniture consists of a metal table and two stools kept in the lounge), there was no wine in the fridge as advertised but there was a bottle of water, coffee sachets and 4 coffee pods. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and there were some shower gels, toothbrushes and slippers in the bathroom. I didn’t see any staff and no one serviced the apartment in the four days I was there but I had good communication with the agent and someone met me on arrival. The main thing that surprised me (although it wasn’t a problem to me personally) was the layout - there are two bedrooms but they are inter-connected by a dressing room and you have to walk through both bedrooms and the dressing room to get to the lounge. If anyone in the twin bedroom needs the bathroom during the night, they have to walk through the double bedroom to get to the hallway. Not a problem for a family maybe, but definitely not suitable for two couples or even two adult friends if you want any degree of privacy.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like except trying to get my suitcase up the winding stairs - when leaving I carried my things down in three stages! You just need to be aware of the quirky layout and that this is an old building with character. Not suitable for noisy groups as there are residents in the other apartments and I wouldn’t say the floors are soundproof.

Loved the location; view, comfort, cleanliness, hospitality. We booked this very last minute (our flaky previous booking cancelled our July 1 reservation only after we parked and asked for the entrance code) In panic we booked Old Fortress Luxury Suite and were met and let in within minutes. What a relief. They were heroes and so professional.

58 steps up to the 3rd floor unit. We thankfully only had a knapsack and purse each. Plan accordingly. I think this space is amazing for families as there are 3 beds and a comfy big couch, not for 2 single gal pals. Only weird thing was i had to go through primary bedroom to get to kitchen and bathroom.

The apartment was beautiful - very clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and excellent facilities (apart from the broken shower). The view was also amazing.

There were two shower heads, one being a cascade head. Unfortunately the switch to operate the two heads was broken so we couldn't use either shower head. We had just arrived and really needed a shower but we had to get washed under the tap below the shower heads. The shower fixing had also come away from the wall and we started to get water up through the floor drain. The company did send a plumber straight away though who noted the drains had been blocked by previous users. The plumbers got one of the shower heads working and cleared the drains. There was no follow up from the management company to make sure everything was ok which was disappointing.
