AfriCamps at Gowan Valley

Everything that you need for a perfect weekend getaway. The tent is more spacious than expected, with a well equipped kitchen and two sizeable rooms. The unit was immaculately clean, with fresh linens, towels and extra blankets provided. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

So Great for Nature lovers. Tent on stilts. Camping but with all the luxury you need to feel comfortable. Loves the nature trails, the hot tub, pool area and play park for the kids. Beds were so a clean and comfortable.

The Shower in Unit 1 was very blocked. I was recommended to keep windows in bathroom closed for the monkeys but I suggest adding mesh to the windows so they can open cos the bathroom gets very stuffy and hot. There are a lot of flies, which is expected on a farm, but maybe some fly swats or something to help keep them out the tent. These are just minor suggestions. All in all a great stay. Thank you.

The place was really great! Our family of three loved it, and our 5-year-old loved swimming in the pool and the hot tub. Conveniently situated between two places of interest which had something for everyone to enjoy.

Being in a tent comes with its challenges, like temperature control. There was an aircon which worked if you closed all the windows. I would have preferred to have fans as they would also help with the flies.
