St Marks Court Apartments

Easy booking and good communication from Lisa. Quick to come back both via booking.com and texts. Apartments are in a great location, super easy to find, allocated parking which makes things a lot easier. Very much designed as a short stay location for visits, contractors, etc and within walking distance of several shops, cafes etc.

The property needs some tlc - things are a bit worn and tired but nothing a new coat of paint/replacing some fixtures and fittings wouldn't sort. The main issue is the cleaning. We stayed in two different apartments during our time there, neither was clean. The second was especially bad and when I messaged Lisa she replied quickly, refunded the cleaning fee and arranged for a different cleaner to come in. Unfortunately this was no better, and I ended up leaving both apartments cleaner than they were when we arrived. A real shame as so much potential - just different cleaners needed.

The property and general location was easily accessible, parking was secure and next to the building. The flat was clean and very comfortable

The apartment was close to where we wanted to be. Ground floor flat was ideal for us as we have mobility issues. It had almost everything we needed. We will visit again

Small issue of wrong code for key safe but thankfully a resident gave us Lisa's number and was resolved. Only 1 fork in cutlery tray, had to buy some from Morrisons so I could have my breakfast. Small issue with bedroom blinds falling down when adjusting them. Very small issues that were easily resolved.

on arrival overall cleanliness seemed OK, but when we went to try and make food things went down hill fast, so instead of self catering we were forced to live on sandwiches and takeaways. I would not cook food for a dog in the pans and baking sheets provided at this accommodation and the cutlery was absolutely disgusting, spoons had been licked and put back in the drawer, and there were no dinner plates only pasta bowls.

on top of the disgusting state of the kitchen ware the toilet was pretty much unusable, from the Poundland toilet seat that moved around every time you sat on it, it was also practically blocked and even with a couple of sheets of toilet paper you had to flush three or for times to clear the pan, and god forbid using the toilet for anything other than a wee as that wouldn't go anywhere, It is shocking that the apartment was let without being checked properly the last thing we should have found was burnt pots and pans and food debris on the baking sheets from previous guests, Overall extremely disappointed and would not return In reply to the property response, all to these items and issues should have been checked and rectified during the change over clean, the fact that they weren't suggests that nothing was properly checked, you need to take ownership of this rather than blaming the guests for not bringing your shortcomings to your attention
