Willow Cottage, Youlgrave

Well equipped little cottage in a lovely village. The garden was pleasant but it should be included in the description that it is across the road from the property .

The stairs are difficult to use for older guests.

The location was amazing. The cottage was very comfortable & had everything we needed.

Great cottage and great location! Great information and dedicated webpage on where to lock our bicycles, etc. Fantastic to have a covered locked shed for our bicycles too. Easy to cycle from Buxton via both the High Peak Trail and the Monsai Trail. Lovely walk to Haddon Hall and great food/cafe outlets in village. Beautiful village and area!

Central heating time clock was out of sink and there were no instructions on how to correct the time, so we had to just switch it off; toilet seat was loose; water taps were initially easy to leave on by mistake. We also would have liked more information on what could be recycled in the local area, i.e. what we could put into the recycling bin and which day was bin collection day.

Well equipped, comfy bed, clean. Location is amazing, didn't use our car. Pubs excellent.

Sofa not comfortable, could it be swapped for the one in sun room?

The cottage was a perfect base to go out in the day from, we didn’t use the kitchen really but good quality shower. The summer house in the garden is the perfect addition, we sat in there every night with the dog until late. Had no issues parking outside each day too, even with a larger car.

This is a beautiful little cottage in the main street of Youlgrave close to all the pubs and shops and the handy car park. Despite being tiny the cottage is really well equipped with a very comfortable bed, good quality furniture and a kitchen with a full size cooker and fridge. We appreciated the high quality kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery, and could easily cook a full meal. The view from the bathroom window is pretty special! One of the best things about Willow Cottage is the amazing garden and summer house just across the road, and with great views.. Absolutely stunning! A perfect place for afternoon tea, even in the rain. Youlgrave is a wonderful location for walks, and the cottage is right next to a path which drops down to the lovely River Bradford. From there you can easily make your way to Lathkill Dale. You can park outside the cottage to unload, but to make life easier for the neighbours it is best to move your car to the village car park just up the road. Be aware that this is a tiny historic cottage (with very thick walls!), but is exactly as described.

Nothing, it was all great! It would be worth renewing the sofa.

The setting is excellent. Spacious inside. Well-equipped.
