Hotel Kúria Červený Majer

The hotel and the estate are beautiful, in nature, outside of the town. Good parking on the property premises. Food in the restaurant was tasty. The swimming pool area was nice and the sunbeds were comfortable. The room was spacious with a separate toilet and shower room.

Unclear where the check-in is and no signs of reception. We checked in at the bar. The communication of management was not great. During our check-in, no one informed us about what time the check-out was, what time the breakfast was, what you could eat in the restaurant, and until what exact time. Additionally, we were given 3 different keys, and no one explained to us what each key was meant for. During our stay, we had to basically discover things ourselves. There were constant events in the hotel's restaurant, and it seemed like that was staff's top priority and not their hotel guests. The swimming pool was nice, but unfortunately, no one cleaned the area during the 3 nights we were there - there were cigarette packs, an empty redbull can, and a beer bottle. When we booked the superior apartment, it was written in the facility description that there is a kitchenette, that wasn't the case, we had none. One annoying thing was that we could only access our room through the restaurant, which didn't sometimes seem very nice after a day of swimming. Even though the food was tasty, half of the dishes were unavailable.

Pool

We chose the hotel because we wanted to cool down during hot days but unfortunately we didn't have AC even if it was listed in the room's description. So in our case it wasn't about insufficient AC but there wasn't any. We had a lot of the spider webs in the room and in the bathroom, mostly around windows so it is something what you notice immediately. We could also see a lot of dust on the night stands. The mirror and the shelf in the bathroom could be cleaner. Also I wouldn't expect an empty toilet roll waiting for us to change for a new one.

This hotel is a nice place with beautiful surroundings. Rooms were spacious and food in the restaurant were very good. Price wise it was okay. Both pool and wellness was quite nice.

However, for this price they should really work on cleanliness. In the room there was some old blood on spreadsheet on the bed. Windows were dirty when opened. Tables outside were sticky. Jacuzzi has weird smell and around pool there was lots of dead insects and spider webs. There was spilled drinks on the floor the whole day. Also with the staff you had the impression you were bothering them all the time with your requests.

Quiet and beautiful location. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Great decorations and arrangement.
