"good value for money but disappointing in a lot of aspects"

6.0

Good wifi connection if you get the correct password (I was given the password for another network initially).Very spacious flat with a very well equipped kitchen. It was probably recently renovated because it is in an old building, but the doors, wooden floors, kitchen and bathroom are modern and in a very good condition. Good location, close to buses, tram, shopping mall and shops. Nice owner with good communication skills.

I rented the entire flat and learned upon arrival that the owner doesn't know how to advertise correctly so one bedroom was locked. I advised the owner to contact booking and ask for instructions, but I see, even 1 month after I left, that if I try to book it again it shows that I would rent the flat, but based on the price and convo with the owner I know it's not accurate. The owner told me where to find the key but that was because they forgot to leave towels for me. She asked me to lock the bedroom after I take the towels and if I need fresh towels or bedsheets to let her know. The owner stressed me with messages and calls on the week and day prior to checkout asking to confirm the hour I am leaving on the 8th (my booking was till the 9th) and asking for confirmation on the 8th if I have left. The living room and bedroom furniture is very old and the wardrobe doesn't close properly, you can't open the drawers to the chest of drawers, etc. Living room furniture is used as storage by owner. Old tv, not a smart one, you can't watch Netflix, YouTube, etc which is important if you travel with kids. The flat wasn't well cleaned either, forks had dried food on them, there were hairs on the bathtub and walls in the bathroom, the dust hasn't been cleaned in the living room in a long long time, etc. Toothpaste, other toiletries, and food left by previous guests not removed. I traveled at the end of October and it was very cold. At night it would be freezing in the bedroom and there was only 1 thin duvet. The owner reached out on 1st of November to ask about the heating and they said it was tuned on the whole time, but that is impossible given how cold it would get at night. Indeed starting 1st of November it was warm in the flat. There is no toaster. Instead there is a sandwich maker. There was a visit agreed in advance from the ministry of tourism on my 2nd day there and I was only informed the day before the visit.
