CITY HUNTER At Georgetown

Good condition room with newish/clean bathroom and great shower.

Bit of outside noise - sounded like someone starting an industrial size washing machine in middle of the night in room above + ‘call to prayer’ seemed unnecessarily loud at 5:00AM!!!! or whenever it was.

I can't make any comment on the rooms because I chose not to stay in the building.......

The rooms, 4 of them are located on the 2nd level of a multi level low cost apartment building. Not easy to find. My taxi driver had to phone for directions. The first 2 levels are small commercial premises, most of them locked up empty The noise made by lots of kids playing was "of the scale" The building is a square shape with a huge void in the centre. The sound echoed!! A large rubbish pile on the bottom level was home to a couple of rats and bikes and old furniture are lying around. I paid for 5 days in advance and chose to walk away and lose the money.....Would I recommend.....no!

Overall a really great stay and would 100% recommend ☺️ Bed is big and comfy, bathroom & room are really spacious which is seemingly impossible to find in Georgetown. Location is good all attractions are walkable and some good food options nearby too. Would have been a 10 if the room was cleaned a bit better, was pretty half arsed but it was fine - also no room cleaning was done at all during our stay. Wifi was great in the double room (RHU) but pretty poor in comparison in the twin room, still manageable tho. Water dispenser outside also great. We almost didn’t book because of the complaints of noise - you will hear the mosques call to prayer 4+ times a day from 6am, it is incredibly loud as it’s right near the window but we found shutting the bathroom door helped hugely, the rooms are in a huge apartment complex so there is the noise of shutters and kids and things but it wasn’t a major issue. Oh and the smart TV was also excellent too 👌🏼
