The only thing that speaks for this property is it's location, 3 minutes walking distance from the golden temple, but that is absolutely not worth the hustle with this place.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We booked a superior family room with two double beds that was confirmed via booking.com, since the friend I was travelling with and me decided we wanted to have separate beds. When we arrived we were told that they had given this room we booked to someone else who walked in and offered us one standard room with a small double bed (and the option to change room for the next day) instead. Only after negotiating and discussing for quiet a while we alternatively got offered two small double rooms instead. The room itself was the dirtiest I have seen in 3 months in India, where I did not even want to touch the bed sheets that were clearly not fresh - and it was not even that cheap. Altough the outside temperature was 43°C degrees and the old-fashioned aircondition was hardly able to get the temperature down to at least 30°C degrees, the hotel stuff turned off the A/C whenever I left the room, even tough I asked them several times not to do so with the result of returning to a room with over 40°C temperature in the evening. So it almost took till the morning until a temperature that made sleep possible was reached. But the worst of it all - and the eventual reason for this harsh feedback was the fact, that when I had a shower and touched the amatuers again to turn the water of, it stood under electricity and I was hit by an electric stroke quiet hard. I was very frightened and went immidiatel down to the reception, soaking wet and just wrapped in a towel, the shower still running since I could not touch the switch, to get help. The reaction of the hotel stuff was almost inexistent: even tough I was clearly upset and reaching out in the desperate need of help, they could not care less and it took them ages to listen to me and react at all and there was not a single word of apologies after they came to fix it with a random act with a plow.
