As you open the front door, the warmth and scented air that greets you is so welcoming. The top bedroom is lovely and although we wondered if it might be a bit chilly in there, the additional electric heater that Emma had thoughtfully put in there was very efficient. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Choice of shower or bath is very nice and there was a good supply of towels. There is a good selection of shops within a few minutes walk . Emma is a very helpful and friendly host

A very slight downside could be the parking as we arrived in 2 separate vehicles and if there were guests in the other cottages there may not have been room for us all to park? But I'm sure there is space close by in the village to park

The cottage had personality and everything you would need. Emma provided fresh milk and tea and coffee so we could have a cup of tea on arrival. The property was spacious and warm with a lit fire when arrived. The garden area was a lovely space and rooms were well maintained and held history through all the rooms. Along with being spacious. Emma showed heart warming relationship with guests and communicated with us throughout the weekend of local places to go and checking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. We booked the property for my mum and dad and Emma kindly met our needs also. Emma accommodated a last minute booking and made every minute of our stay feel like home from home. If you are visiting this area and looking for somewhere to stay i would highly recommend. We will be retuning with our family to share this amazing, historic, cottage full of personality, warm and a home from home feeling.

I loved everything

The host was excellent and actually met us at the property, very friendly and supplied us with extra firewood when requested

There was absolutely nothing to fault or to dislike about our stay, it was perfect
