Very poor communication from Agent/Host. Did not answer emails. WhatApps Mattresses bad and old No aircon Minimum warm water for showers Map to house is totally wrong House wasn’t ready when we arrived Cleaning staff arrives before 7h00 on departing day

Setting

Limited cutlery and crockery. No hot water first night. No water at all second night. Maintenance needs to be done!! Dirty duvet cover with blood on.

The location The accommodation itself was beautiful and had huge potential.

Was not ready on arrival: Dirty cutlery and crockery Dirty curtains and carpets Ashtray full of cigarettes Light in washing up area in kitchen did not work Cleaner which was sent in thought agreed that no one had been in before we arrived and said there were cobwebs and dirt everywhere. Had to spend our few days away with workmen coming in to fix problems and cleaners cleaning. Advert says toiletries included however there was no body wash available. We ordered logs for the fireplace but was given no firelighters or matches/ lighter to use.

Beautiful house.

Very dirty. Cockroaches all over the kitchen. And dirty utensils in drawers. Microwave did not work. Struggling to get the R2500 breakage deposit refunded from host. We’ve had no communication about any issues and after asking Lynette about the refund she said she will get back to us. It’s nearly another week later and still no answer. We’ve checked out on the 11th of April 2025. Game Viewing vehicle hired for the day and was hoping to go on a sunrise drive but the vehicle had no fuel in it. Just about made it to the fuel station at the gate which did not open until 8 am. What a disappointment. If the key code was sent thought before 23:00 the night before we could have filled the vehicle with fuel the night before.
