Baan Glangsuan Bang Kobua

This place in a a great location, large airy rooms, with a super-friendly and helpful owner - but you should not underestimate the logistics. Getting there is no issue with a taxi or Grab but leaving is by pre-reserved transfer only, as there is no reliable taxi or Grab service available in that area. I prebooked a Grab ride more than 24 hours in advance - it got initially confimed but was cancelled at the last minute. I suppose drivers just look at the distance from their position when accepting the ride without noticing that the guesthouse is on the other side of the river and getting there will take them almost an hour.. The smart way to leave or to go into the city is to get a ride to the next ferry pier (ask the owner for organising one, preferably in advance), cross by boat and take a taxi on the other side. Alternatively, the closest pier is about 25 min to walk to. From what I know the ferries run only during the daytime, though. Having said that if you are looking for a calm loaction close to nature this area and this guesthouse is the perfect choice. Totally amazing that this place is 5km from the big city, feels like another world. I am a birder and there are excellent conditions for that, starting with the view from you balcony (ground level room have terraces, I think) . Despite the logistical challenges I was super-happy to have chosen this place.

De ligging, midden in Bangkok. Volledig in het groen. Hier kom je tot rust. Het volgende verblijf worden meer nachten.

Very nice surroundings, comfortable bed, quiet, bats and squirrels!

No breakfast, tv-channels only in Thai, not very responsive staff. We had to wait quite some time to have the room cleaned. One tip; clean up the garden, it is a complete garbage dump.

L'emplacement dans ce Bangkok coupé du monde et en pleine verdure. Le prêt de vélo.

Il faut se préparer à ne pas trouver de tuk tuk ni de restaurant à tous les coins de rue. On ne nous a pas proposé l'option petit déjeuner et on a bien galéré avant de trouver un petit restau top a 10 min en vélo de l'hôtel.

Super emplacement pour souffler à l'extérieur de Bangkok. Les chambres sont très confortables. De plus des activités sont proposés juste à côté du logement. Elle nous ont beaucoup plus, notamment le prêt de vélo à toute heure pour arpenter le village !!
