Umhlanga Ridge One Bedroom Self-Catering apartment

Everything was close, the weed bar was in the same building which made it even better.

The couch, everything else was good.

Nothing.

I’ve stayed at many self-catering places, and while not every place is perfect, they’ve at least been comfortable and functional. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve had. The apartment was extremely poorly equipped. There were hardly any utensils or basic necessities expected in a self-catering space. The iron and ironing board were half broken, the hairdryer only blew cold air, and there weren’t even bin packets — we had to keep going outside to throw away trash. To make matters worse, the power went off completely and there were no backup lights, no candles, nothing. Only on the morning of checkout were we told about a code to get the power back on — far too late to be helpful. Even the furniture, like the couch, was uncomfortable and uninviting. The overall experience felt very user-unfriendly and not thought through at all. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but others should be aware. This place really needs serious improvement to be considered decent or worth the price.
